radR processing a blipmovie archive. This is a feature-level data format that records anomalously bright regions ("blips") from a sequence of radar scans.

The plot window on a GNU/Linux platform. Raw reflectivity data are shown in grayscale along with three extracted blips in red. The presence and spacing of the range rings and compass are user-controlled. The image can be zoomed, panned across, and rotated.  The pointer (missing from the screen shot) has been paused over the upper left blip, thereby popping up a window describing the blip.
